As a current student of Architectural Technology at NYC College of Technology, a program with training emphasis in the areas of architectural design and engineering, I am greatly motivated and eager to apply and develop my skills in the field of architecture. Being very interested in all aspects of architectural design, I believe I have the energy, desire to learn, and the commitment to excellence necessary to be a successful addition to architectural or construction office team.
During my undergraduate career, I engaged in a variety of practical experiences in various professional fields, which were both extremely rewarding and enriching. My previously held positions as an office assistant in a general contractor’s office and as a manager of a busy medical office provided me with the opportunity to learn and improve my administrative, organizational and professional skills. Also, I had an extensive experience in marketing and BTL sales working as a promoter at first and growing into a project manager in advertising agencies in Moscow, Russia. It was in these positions that I learned the skills necessary to excel in a fast paced environment where attention to details, efficiency and effective teamwork are crucial.
My academic experience includes work with multitude of tools and materials such as wood, plastic, styrofoam, plaster of paris, and sculpey to construct models of existing and conceptual structural designs, as well as models of structural components. I have a working knowledge of AutoCad and Rhino computer programs and exposure to Revit and Photoshop. My other architectural and design coursework includes classes in design and color, architectural design and drawing, site planning, building systems, principles of stability in structures, and materials and methods of construction, among others.
As a detail oriented and hard-working person I believe that the combination of my educational background and talent to quickly learn and adapt new skills prepares me in many ways to be a constructive member of your team.
