I am an architect-urban designer, currently living in New York. I recently graduated from MS Architecture and Urban Design program at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. I am a licensed architect from India with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India.
In my practice, I strive to explore and evolve energy efficient and cost effective design processes leading to sustainable design solutions. My goal is to energetically contribute to the broad discussion about the critical environmental, social, cultural and design issues confronted by contemporary urban societies, and excel the role that an urban designer can play in addressing these fundamental issues through academic and professional practices.
Personally, I love questioning the stereotypes and getting ‘lost’ while travelling. When not struggling with the complexities of Illustrator, Autocad and Maya, I love to create comic stories from real life events. I am a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and an amateur vegetarian cook, who believes that good food(chocolates! even better!) and dance are remedies to all evils in the world.
