About

My name is Jan Achilles Miller. I graduated from Kent State University in May 2011 with my MArch and MBA. Since graduating, I have worked in retail and commercial architecture, where I furthered my understanding of design and construction. In April 2013, I achieved a personal goal and became a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design and Construction.
I am extremely passionate about design, travel and food. My annual trips to Europe and a semester studying abroad in Florence, Italy have opened my eyes to how much of the world there is to see and experience. Food has also had a profound influence on me. Cooking not only allows me to experiment with techniques and flavors, it allows me to travel without having to leave the kitchen. My trips and culinary adventures have had a dramatic influence on how I perceive design and the process of how I design.
I am currently seeking a firm that will nurture me through my completion of the Intern Development Program, and allow me to utilize my LEED accreditation. I am a creative, outgoing, open-minded individual who is versatile, thorough and loves to learn new things. I am confident that my diverse background, innovative design techniques, meticulous work ethic, and previous work experiences make me an excellent candidate for your firm.
