I finished my Masters of Architecture at Southern Illinois University back in August. Previously, I graduated from Fairmont State University with a BS in Architecture.
When I first began my studies at FSU, I had a basic understanding of what architecture was about. While at Fairmont State University, I am proficient in digital-design media such as: Architecture Revit, Architecture CADD, Rhinoceros, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, ands SketchUp. Also I am proficient in hand drafting and ceramics. Good experience in architectural model making, using different materials; paper, cardboard, wood etc. I would love to learn more digital-design programs in order to enhance my designs. Also, I have expression in carpentry so your wood shop would great to work in. During the past few years, I have working hard to increase my knowledge of sustainability and how it can be accomplished in the built environment.
For two years, I have worked on campus as a Resident Assistant, learning time management and leadership skills while in this position. In 2010, I won the Female Resident Assistant of the year award for always willing to help others, someone who enforces the rules, and strong leader. My job with Residence Life has increased my awareness of the leadership and teamwork necessary in architecture.
