My main concern is that Architecture is in big trouble. I have spent years, both formally and informally, educating myself on both traditional and contemporary design, and my conclusion is that we are not passing the torch well. People respond to meaningful places that are timeless in their intent and subsequent quality. Fashion and trends are not sustainable. Buildings worth keeping and augmenting over the centuries are. My goal is to coordinate efforts between the design, planning, contracting and financial disciplines to achieve sensible solutions that enable timeless places.
