About

I am currently completing my final year in the Bachelor of Architecture course at the University of Queensland in Brisbane. I began the course in 2011 with an appreciation for brisbane's evolving city and aspirations for it's potential. In recent years I have had the opportunity of travelling abroad to many countries that have offered a new perspective in my experience of architecture.  Next year I hope to gain work at a small - medium density firm to involve myself in both residential and commercial projects. I then hope to further my architectural experiences overseas before returning to complete my Masters of Architecture.

Employment

Populous, Brisbane, AU, Work experience - Assistant Designer

I was fortunate enough to gain some work experience at Populous in Brisbane in the summer holidays. During this time, my focus was on a small project - a sculptural intervention to represent the Red's Rugby team history. I primarily worked with an architectural designer to develop a number of potential schemes. Whilst at the firm, I also had the opportunity to gain an insight into some larger projects and the working process.

Education

Brisbane Girls Grammar School, Brisbane, AU, High School, Yrs 8 - 12

During my senior years I undertook a variation of subjects including Maths B, Chemistry, Biology, Modern History, English and Visual Art. I graduated with an OP 3 and a prize for the Dux of Visual Art.

An appreciation for both the sciences and the arts led me to architecture - an opportunity to apply both strengths.
