About

To whom may it concern,

I am writing very interested in the possibility of employment within an Architecture Studio / Construction Company in United States. I graduated on December 2008 from Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, Facultad de Arquitectura, Urbanismo y Diseño, which is located in Mar del Plata City, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina and I’m searching for a position that I believe it would provide for me both a challenge and an opportunity to keep on proving my skills in the architecture field.

My experience comes from work as a freelance drafter for several studios here in Argentina while I was a student in University, to work professionally for several companies and in different countries such as: Argentina, U.S.A. (2009), New Zealand (2010), and performing multiple tasks from draughtsman to architectural designer in residential, commercial, Civil engineering, industrial and master-plans projects among others. Nowadays I work as a facility manager for the Techint Organization here in Buenos Aires (Capital City) and even when I'm doing great with my current job (can't complaint, really) I feel I have much more to offer on the architectural design field than what I have on my current field or work and this is the main reason of why I'm looking for a change but besides that I also love United States (I've been there twice and fell in love with the country, culture, people... everything).

I also posses an advanced knowledge using the latest versions of software tools such as: AutoCAD 2D, 3D Studio Max with Mental Ray, Photoshop and Corel Draw among others which leads to high quality presentations. Also internet tools and general computer software like MS Office Package. My English language skills are very strong and have been improved through the years not only by studying it, but also by travelling, living and working in English spoken countries. On December 19th 2012 I gave the IELTS General Training Test, achieving an overall score of 7 points.

Resuming,  I believe that the experience acquired in my university years plus the experience working as a professional would be a valuable asset to your firm and I look forward to the opportunity to provide further information or to discuss your firm’s specific needs. Attached to this letter, I’ll add my CV and a portfolio with some of my best artwork made through the last years. Also know that in case of interest I would require visa sponsorship in order to be able to work in the United States.

Thank you for your time and consideration by reading this.

Sincerely,

Federico Lacabaratz
Architect
