Erica Padgett graduated from the School of Architecture at the University of Southern California, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies. Her previous educational and work experiences have yielded sound creative and technical skills, as well as a keen eye for detail.

Erica has also held a number of leadership positions and strongly believes in the power of teamwork and collaboration. Paired with her expatriate upbringing, this brings a fresh and unique perspective to her work and outlook. 

Currently, Erica is working in New York as a team member of Soho House & Co.'s In-House Design & Build department.

During my time with Callison thus far, I have completed work on a number of luxury retail stores for multiple clients throughout North America. I am involved in all phases of the business, from space programming, finish selection, and specifications to project management, including construction drawing production and permitting. My responsibilities also involve construction administration duties, such as consultant, contractor, and client coordination.

During my employment with Resolution: 4 Architecture, I helped to produce a factory pricing set for a custom prefabricated home in rural Maryland. I also assembled a reference and specifications guide for client use and produced marketing material for the firm. I was also in charge of social media outreach via Facebook and Twitter.

Jerry Wingate, USC Auxiliary Services: Director of Design, Los Angeles, CA, US, Assistant to the Director of Design

During my fourth and final year of the Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies program at the University of Southern California, I was employed by the Director of Design for USC Auxiliary Services, Jerry Wingate. My responsibilities included preparing floor plans, sections, and elevations for construction, as well as revising architectural drawings for renovation work. Furthermore, I collaborated with designers to create custom furniture specifications and assisted with interior carpeting and tiling layouts.

Formwerkz, Singapore, SG, Architecture Intern - Full Time

For the duration of a two-month summer internship with Formwerkz Architects, I assisted the partners and designers with multiple projects at various stages of development, including commercial buildings and custom residences. My daily responsibilities included:

- Producing schedules, details, utilities layouts, and tender documents for submission under strict deadlines
- Editing architectural renderings
- Creating presentation board layouts
- Composing design reports for competition entries
- Conducting research and conceptualization exercises

Among my contributions was my participation in preparing the firm's submission for the Bukit Panjang Hawker Centre competition. I collaborated with a team of architects to generate physical study models and designs, investigate using 3D model prototypes of components within the Centre, and utilize Adobe Photoshop techniques to edit and enliven architectural renderings of the final design. I also provided meaningful contributions to the layout of the final presentation boards and the drafting of the supplemental design report. Our team was successful in being short-listed for the second stage of the design competition.

During the summer of 2011, I simultaneously performed work for McCullough Landscape Architecture (MLA-SD), as both MLA-SD and dbrds share an office space. My responsibilities included revising hardscape, softscape, and irrigation plans. Additionally, I edited the landscape plans for a Chase Bank branch in Menifee, CA, as well as for a proposed apartment complex in San Diego.
