Shuko Koike is trained as an Architectural Designer, Interior Designer, Product Designer and Architectural/Design Event Organizer with extensive experience in Japan and United States.
Her practical design skill was developed at Taro Ashihara Architects which is well known for its simple and quality lifestyle designs. My responsibility as a project manager was to manage multiple tasks for the company, including scheduling, budget control, attending client meetings, schematic design, design development, material selection, interior design, product design, public relations and event planning.

She has 6 years of professional working experience in Japan, after that she moved to New York with O1-visa, and has developed her qualification as architectural designer step by step.

This design proposal was the purpose to build a new public facility included hall, workshop room, conference space, Café and Multi-purpose open space in Annaka City, Japan. Shuko Koike’s design was selected as a finalist for the award among 395 professional architects and architectural designers.

Zokei-Award, 2nd Place

All graduation students’ works were judged from professors. Shuko Koike’s project study of Genji Monogatari House was chosen as a finalist for the “ZOKEI-Award”. This project was introduced in Tokyo Zokei University’s guidebook of 2004.
