The past 13 years of my career have been spent with the same company, a large, international construction firm, where I have held a variety of positions such as Communications Manager and Marketing Director. As such, I have amassed a considerable wealth of experience executing marketing, communications and corporate branding initiatives while working on simultaneous projects with teams in Europe, Latin America and the US.
Part of my duties while acting as the only communications manager in my group included building and launching both our intranet and internet; writing, designing and producing a 16-page magazine for employees; managing print rebranding campaigns twice; writing announcements for several members of the senior management team; and coordinating all activities with our corporate communications department based in Sweden. This included managing the roll-out of numerous campaigns related to HR and safety among others.
I possess a proven track record of initiating plans to properly communicate company initiatives internally and externally using a variety of tools such as our intranet and internet, email blasts, town hall and management meetings and campaign specific material. Previously, I managed my group’s yearly management meeting, which included scouting locations, creating the videos and working with management to develop messaging.
As the sole marketing director in my group responsible for supporting thousands of employees throughout the US, I have had to build relationships with every department in the company from HR and safety to IT and engineering, in addition to the senior management team. Beyond interacting with those colleagues in other offices nationwide, I have had to regularly interact with those from other countries.
