Tuan Tran is the DArch (doctorate of architecture) candidate at School of Architecture, University of Hawaii at Manoa. Before that, he is licensed architect in Vietnam, where he hold a Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Architecture Degree. He also were the lecturer teaching classes at Hochiminh City University of Architecture in introducing descriptive geometry for architectural presentation. His previous work experience in Vietnam includes all project phases from conceptual design to construction development of residential and commercial projects. Tuan currently is specializing on high performance and environmentally responsive building and naturally ventilation. He is at high level skill of using energy, daylighting modeling, analysis and simulation such as EnergyPlus, Radiance, OpenDX, 3DRhino, Grasshopper, DesignBuilder, OpenStudio, Ecotect, Python scripting... Mr. Tuan was recently awarded the first prize of the 2013 Design Optimization Competition held by DesignBuilder, ZeroEnergyCenter and De Montfort University in Leicester, UK. He also was awarded as the finalist of the 2010 National USGBC's Natural Talent Design Competition for the Platinum LEED certified affordable home in Broadmore neighborhood, NewOrleans, LA.
