Responsibilities include:
Managing construction projects in the education sector (schools, nurseries, community centres plus children centres) as well as cultural and leisure schemes (museums and sport centres). Urban Design and planning (regeneration and modernisation of public squares, plazas, coastal areas, parks, town centres). Housing sector and refurbishment of council buildings, Workspace planning, FF&E.
Duties covering all aspects of the RIBA project stages from inception to completion with extensive working experience within the following domains:
Business Development:
-Client facing, presentations and pitching. Development of initial design
concepts and implementation of sustainable solutions within client's budget.
Management:
-Processing planning and building regulations’ applications, resolution of
planning conditions. Management of various scale projects – new build, refurbishment and fit-out, management of teams of professionals throughout RIBA plan of work stages.
-Management of project's account and client’s fees. Progressing project’s
programme on site and monitoring contractor’s performance.
-In charge of specification writing and selection of construction materials and
interior finishes, using NBS Building.
-Contract management (JCT, NEC and PPC 2000). Site supervision and
chairing site meetings, issuing architect’s instructions.
Production and sustainability:
-Production of detailed construction/architectural drawings and supporting
Prdocuments to tender stage, development of construction details to suite site
conditions. Experience in working with BREEAM, code for sustainable homes,
Secure by Design processes, NHBC standards. Liaison with contractors/manufacturers/utility providers.
