I am currently working as the lead inspector on a New York City Department of Environmental Protection project located at Hillview Reservoir in Yonkers NY. The project involves upgrades to existing site access road, installation of a prefabricated guardhouse along with necessary MEP and the integration of new CCTV and Security Systems to existing security system. Assist Resident Engineer in preparing of RFC(Request for Clarification) when existing conditions contradict the contract drawings. Use contract specifications and drawings to inspect and document with daily inspection reports and quality controlled inspection checklists. Inspection included: the location and depth drilled of DWIDAG anchor bolts, ensure that bolts properly tensioned using a properly calibrated hydraulic jack and grouted into place using a simple mortar. . Monitored the installation of wire mesh fabric prior to application of shotcrete to exterior walls of excavation to secure loose rock during excavation operations. Inspect the construction of temporary bridge. Work included the pouring of two structural concrete abutment walls, the installation and tension of tie downs and the installation of steel beams for bridge. Monitored the surface grouting operation above a tunnel boring operations: track the drill depth of bore holes and assure that each bore hole was pressure grouted to failure to ensure rock consolidation. For larger projects: Use contract drawings and specifications to survey jobsites and prepare a schedule of work to perform. Coordinate with local municipalities to obtain necessary permits to begin work. Submit daily reports of work activities and weekly payroll time sheets. The contract involved several different contractors, in several different municipalities performing various infiltration/inflow prevention techniques throughout Westchester County. Techniques included: Cured In Place Sewer Lining, Fold and Form Sewer Lining, waterproofing of brick manholes, replacement of manhole frames and covers, point repair of severely damages sewers, chemical grouting of house service laterals after the lining of sewer main lines.
