A designer with a full arsenal of tools, training and experience, the openness to learn and grow, the propensity for working well with others, and a full tank of energy and commitment to make his mark in the design world; these are the things I bring to the table.
An Interior Designer by trade and training, I have made the most of my short time in the field during and after my training at the Art Institute of Minnesota shaping my craft as a designer with a fresh yet grounded lens. I consider my greatest strength to be communication; listening first attentively and responding second with clarity and confidence. I am seeking an employer who will take my Midwest hard work ethic, desire to apply my passion, and my experience in design and sales and give me the opportunity to become an active and aggressive team player.
At my most recent job as a Junior Designer I worked under the lead designer with material and product selection, placement of orders, invoicing, pricing, stock management, CAD plans, renderings, one-on-one assistance with clients in person and through phone and computer correspondence, as well as in the retail furniture and accessory showroom. I was also put in charge of their social media and graphic design for all advertisements. I also have previous experience at Schumacher on the showroom floor dealing with textiles at International Market Square in Minneapolis, MN. I am competent in AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, InDesign, Studio Designer and Microsoft Office, and pick up on operating systems quickly.
My aesthetic is the right mix of art and practicality. A lifelong visual artist, I have a strong understanding of color, texture, lighting, space, and energy. Complimentary, the application of an artistic lens within design for the consumer is of the utmost importance in making sure it meets the clients desire to produce an exceptional and stellar space.
