Senior Project Architect / Project Manager

I have completed millions of square feet of building projects (comprising a diversity of building types). For the past 8 years I have served as Project Manager on the Campus Consolidation Project for the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) in White Oak, MD. This was an enormous project with numerous and obvious similars to a university campus. With 9000 employees to be relocated from assorted metropolitan buildings to a new campus setting, it was important to recognize that not only the design of individual buildings was required, but the development and adherence to a Master Plan was crucial; a Master Plan which would detail, in the end, a pedestrian friendly campus. The FDA project presented an interesting challenge and it was quite successfully accomplished in the final buildout by incorporating Security, Central Plant Distribution Systems, Pedestrian Bridges and Tunnels (between buildings) and specified Shared Use functions ranging from Conference Centers and a Childcare Facility to multiple Food Service venues.
