I was involved in several master studies, extensive rennovations, adaptive resuse projects, additions, and new construction.

Project types ranged from historic campus buildings, to school additions, to ACS offices and Hope Lodges, among other projects.

I was primarily involved in the conceptual planning and schematic design of a 200 millioan dollar courthouse project.

Some responsibilities included:
Physical model creation, digital model creation of downtown Jacksonville, digital model creation of the proposed courthouse, creation of presentation materials, floor plan design options, schematic development, and others.

I was lead designer for a Parish Hall addition. I also was involved in other projects for the Archdiocese of Kansas City.

Some responsibilites included:
Project management, design, detail development, finding creative cost reduction approaches, and coordinating client meetings and leading discussions with the client regarding design options and status updates.

An emphasis of my studies was on sustainability in design.

My senior year I was involved in an interdisciplinary project focused on the design and building of Kansas State University’s entry for the U.S. Department of Energy’s international Solar Decathlon
competition in Washington, D.C.

I was also involved with the interdisciplinary project focused on sustainable disaster recovery (F5 tornado) The studio produced master plans and design-build projects for Greensburg, KS

Central West End Metro Competition (group entry), 1st Place

A competition for redevelopment plans for an existing Metro stop. The joint entry
showcased sustainable interactive design features keying off of dynamic site input.

Waterlink Grant, Grant

Awarded for project Greensburg Cubed. This project focused on educating the public on sustainable approaches for water conservation and utilization.
