About

To whom it may concern:

Originally I came to USA for a position at Rafael Viñoly Architects in San Francisco. When I got to San Francisco office, the talented team was working in collaboration with Lee, Burkhart and Liu in the New Stanford Hospital project during construction phase. I quickly learned to use Revit and Rhino to draw. In addition I coordinated the spaces under my responsibility with all the project members.

For the past 9 months I have been working with Kohan Group, where I participated in 12 projects, leading 6 of them. Four are currently under construction. I produced commercial and healthcare architectural documents, from design through construction phase for permit and bid completion. I did full sets of interior design, all construction details, client meetings, review submissions and coordination with city planning, engineers, cabinet makers, medical equipment consultants and manufactures.

Before that I had experience in residential, commercial, mixed use and public spaces in Spain. With Les Tank Architects in France I developed two urban plans for two cities, building typologies, models and presentation. With my 3 years of experience I can say that I work very well under pressure, with multiple competing deadlines, and within budget guidelines.

I received my Architectural License in Spain after completing a rigorous six-year program. My final project in this program was an Archaeological Center integrated into the landscape close to a prehistoric city. The focus of my project was a concept based in the perfect geometry which remains in the nature to develop a modular construction system on wood which adapts to the site topography and create an interesting space with low environmental impact. My education enables me to develop projects that require quality and attention to detail and to all technical aspects as structure, MEP, Building Code etc to get a full set done.

In addition, I hold a master’s degree in urban planning. So I know the process concerned with the control of the land and design of the urban environment. I use modeling software like ArcGIS, among others.

I am currently improving my software skills exploring Grasshopper since I found this program very interesting as a tool for design. And I also would like to join a firm which let me be involved in LEED projects because I am studying to get my certification.

In all projects, I took extreme care to conceptualize comprehensively from the general to the particular. Always with a critical approach to the design, engaging contemporary culture, tradition and construction techniques in search of design solutions that are elegant, cost effective, and environmental sensitive.

My passion for Architecture brought me to USA to become a more international and complete Architect.

My intent is to join a professional team with whom I can develop a project and contribute positively. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,
