About

My name is Alexandra Zambito and I am currently a senior at the University of New Hampshire. I am studying Art History, accompanied with an architectural studies minor.
As my fours years of college are coming to an end, I have seen as my interest in architecture has grown in both my studio design and history courses. In my studio courses I have designed commercial buildings, such as cafes and a bike shop. I learned what goes into constructing such a building, dealing with both esthetics and structural aspects. Along with academics, an internship I held in the summer of 2011 increased my enthusiasm in the field of architecture. I was an intern at a private interior design company called Martha Stack Limited. I worked one on one with the head interior designer, Martha Stack along with an architect on several projects: two Hampton homes and a few New York apartments. I assisted with aspects of design concepts, meeting with clients, visits to the D&D building, organizing look books, and dealing with manufacturers. Other responsibilities included hands on experiences such as visiting construction sites, warehouses, and client’s homes. During my internship I utilized my interpersonal, analytical, and professional skills.
Although I am not currently enrolled in an architecture school, I do strive towards enrolling in an architecture masters program. I believe I still have many abilities and qualifications to fill this job opportunity, even without having an actual architecture degree. I am an extremely hard worker and constantly eager to learn more. I am energetic and out going, believe I can really be a great addition to any team.
