My experience at Matlapa Group (Pty) Ltd as manager and professional Architect was somewhat bitter-sweet as the company failed to pay employees salaries since September 2015 to date due to an alleged financial crisis.
Apart from that complication, my tasks included:
Office Manager- dealing with all office operations.
Project Architect - dealing with All projects, timelines, design, construction drawing quality, meeting deadlines, managing staff, on -site construction inspections, client presentations.
Principal Agent- managing the contract on behalf of the client on site during construction.

As a well-rounded designer, I was introduced to the branding world. My special focus was on brand experience & environments. As an Architect by profession, I have practical & theoretical training in 3D environments. At The Brand Union I worked on a variety of projects bringing my design skill & architectural knowledge to each one. I have had the opportunity to conceptualize, design & technically detail 3D Environments, Kit of Parts Elements, Façade Identity design & Corporate Interiors.
I worked on Retail design, Motor Car Showroom design, the design of a Fuel Station Environment & Identity, Bank Environments & Interior Elements.
Les Barnes and Associates, Johannesburg, ZA, Candidate Architect
My experience entailed various types of projects ranging through the spectrum from domestic to light commercial & industrial architectures. Tasks included: meetings with clients & relative associated party’s, partial & detailed design work which varied between projects, extensive working drawings for councils including Site Development Plans & rewarding presentations to clients. Minimal site investigations & inspections were undertaken. Office management skills were acquired when Les Barnes was away on business trips. My duties included managing all projects running at the time, dealing with client issues, presentations to clients, managing technicians.
