About

I'm a designer and fabricator with a BFA and an M'Arch from the University of Michigan.

Employment

Roush Industries, Livonia, MI, US, Composite-Cad Technician / Designer

The position is really several positions rolled into one. I design the patterns for the composite materials, program and operate the ply-cutter. I will create part numbers, BOM's, perform cost analysis for quotes, excel macros for paperwork and create lay-up schedules. I also work with 3d cad data, creating the data used for tooling as well as assisting in the design development of new parts.

University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, Lab Assistant

I worked at the University of Michigan College of Architecture in the digital fabrication lab as a lab assistant. I operated a few different 3d printers, routers and a waterjet cutter. The 3d printers I worked with were ABS and plaster. The routers were both Onsrud 3-Axis with a fixed bridge. I used Mastercam to program them. The waterjet cutter is a flowjet. I operated this equipment for students and faculty. I also helped with setting up their files and offered guidance on projects.
