Convention Center/General Architecture
San Antonio Convention Center Expansion, Study – San Antonio, TX
Assisted in project design during the design phase for a proposed expansion of the San Antonio Convention Center, which included plans for an adjacent hotel, pedestrian bridge, new prefunction, meeting room, and exhibit halls.

San Diego Convention Center Expansion, Phase III Due Diligence Study – San Diego, CA
Assisted in project design during design phase for a proposed 850,000-SF bayside expansion of the San Diego Convention Center. The project included plans for an adjacent hotel, water transportation center and retail uses.

Albany Convention Center – Albany, NY
Assisted in project design during conceptual phase for the expansion of Albany Convention Center.  Planned for LEED® certification, the proposed concept featured strategies to improve pedestrian connectivity to other parts of downtown Albany, a link to the Times Union Center, and expansion capabilities that include an intermodal transit center. The project also included a 1,100-car parking structure.

Las Vegas Convention Center Renovation & Expansion – Las Vegas, NV
Assisted in project documentation for the expansion and renovation of the Las Vegas Convention Center. This $890 million enhancement project, which will include additional lobbies and meeting rooms, general session spaces, renovations to the existing facility, transportation improvements and other enhancements. The planning process involved an extensive outreach program to operating staff, users, and service providers.


Local Government/Sports
Vikings Stadium - Minneapolis, MN
Assisted in the design pursit of the exterior skin, premium amenities and 65,000 seat bowl design.

Citrus Bowl – Orlando, FL
The purpose of the Goal Setting Session was set up to figure out with the City of Orlando what was needed in order to be competitive with their market sector.  The two day charrette consisted of three teams that dealt with site, community use, and event planning.  The two day charrette was delivered by questions and answeres and then the design team had one and a half hours to deliver ideas and schemes from scratch.  Followed by a final second day review.

San Francisco 49ers Stadium - Santa Clara, CA
Coordinated and developed the exterior skin design along with documentation of the core shell packages. The $1.02 billion project includes 68,000-seats, three tiers of general admission seating, four levels of suites and various other premium amenities, clubs and loge boxes. Designed with many sustainable elements, the new stadium will incorporate photovoltaic panels, a green roof, public transit access and is on track to become the nation’s first professional football stadium to achieve LEED certification.

Education/Sports
Michigan Stadium, University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, Michigan
Coordinated and designed all major exterior componets of brick assemblies and assisted in project documentation for the expansion and renovation of the University of Michigan Stadium.  This $170 million project includes the addition of two 530’ long, multi-story structures on the east and west sides of the stadium that will contain improved fan amenities, new restrooms and concesions, club seats, suites, and press facilities.  Two new elevated concurses were added on both sides of the stadium to improve access and safety.  Other improvements to the stadium included widening existing aisles and seats, adding handrails, and adding dedicated seating for fans with impaired mobility.  Construction was phased over three football seasons.

Bob Carpenter Expansion, University of Delaware – Newark, DE
Designed and detailed the addition adding 50,000 sqft. of space with an addition to the south west side of the existing arena.  The new main entry lobby creates an impressive entrance for student-athletes and coaching staffs.  The addition houses multiple practice courts for volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball as well as an additional sports medicine area.  The basketball program has state of the art practice gyms as well as locker rooms,  team meeting areas, and coaches offices.  The volleyball practice facility will accommodate three competition size courts, new locker rooms, and coaches offices.  The larger gym will also be available for the needs of student recreation.

Nebraska Memorial Stadium, University of Nebraska – Lincoln, NE
Designed and detailed exterior skin and coordinated project with all design disiplines. The project expands the current East Stadium and adds 6,2000 new spectator seats and fan amenities.  The current East Stadium concourse is expanded through the addition of a new parallel concourse, which includes a grand lobby that celebrates the original historic Gate 20 entrance and entire east façade with minimal disturbance.  The large 60 foot tall volume of space that occurs before the seating levels provides for two levels of shell space on either side of the grand lobby.  These shell spaces will be used for UNL Research and future Athletic Department use.  The additional seating occurs on four new upper floor levels: Balcony/Suite Level, Club Level, Suite Level and Upper Bowl Level.  The project improves fan amenities, game day access and safety.  Additional concessions and restrooms are provided on the expanded Main Concourse and Upper Concourse Levels.  Suite Level and Upper Bowl Level.  The project improves fan amenities, game day access and safety.  Additional concessions and restrooms are provided on the expanded Main Concourse and Upper Concourse Levels.

Government/Civic
NNSA Nation Security Campus – Kansas City, MO
Designed exterior skin and coordination of precast panels.  GSA selected the CenterPoint Zimmer team, to design, build and lease a new National Security Campus on 185 acres. The $500 million facilities replaced the existing plant and are anticipated to encompass 1,629,950 GSF with 2,500 parking spaces. The design will include office, electrical assembly, laboratory and manufacturing for the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Potential amenities for the campus include a walking trail, courtyard, fitness center and cafeteria. The team is designing the project for LEED® Gold Certification and utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) for the design, construction and management of
the project.

GSA-Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative/Phase 1 Land Port of Entry LED Signage
Project Designer and for the installation of LED signage at 18 Land Ports of Entry along the U.S. northern and southern borders.  Design and installation used a multi-phased implementation strategy.  This scope of work included planning, wayfinding/signage consulting, architectrual/engineering services for design and installation of dynamic signage in support of the Land Border Integration LED signage program.

NOLA Pumphouse – New Orlean, LA
Design pursuit for New Orleans Pumphouse, Designed exterior facade, green way, and re-purposed area.  This $700 million (no cap) proposed of a master plan to enhance the existing site and better utilize the land.  Design phase maintained continuity and operation between all structures and sites while minimizing visual impact with surrounding communities.

Kansas City Max Bus Shelter – Kansas City, MO
Assisted the KCATA by designing and introducing a new construction cost Bus Rapid Transit system, now known as MAX - Metropolitan Area Express, to serve the Kansas City community.  Elements of design include a new glass and stainless steel shelter with integrated lighting, a station marker with real time signage, route and transfer information and a map of the surrounding neighborhood and attractions to assist way finding for visitors.  Streets cape improvements and integrated signage were also incorporated.

Residential/Mixed Use
Guadalupe River and Tech Museum, San Jose, CA
Senior designer involved with designing two one million square foot properties located adjacent to the San Jose Convention Center on the Guadalupe River and a second site adjacent to the Tech museum.  These two projects design intent was to densify the downtown residential market and provide new pedestrian Paseo's utilizing incubator office spaces and mixed use retail.

Hollywood Palladium, Los Angeles, CA
Senior Designer involved with managing the design team and design of the project.  This two towers residential and hotel tower was designed in tune to the market conditions in regards to amenities, parking demands, and unit fit and finish.  This design incorporated the coordination of the historic palladium theater.

Planning
Kansas Department of Transportation, Manhattan, KS
Project Designer to assist the Kansas Department of Transportation and Kansas State University of for a feasibility study and incorporating a Personal Rapid Transit System within the Campus.  Design integration included way finding, integrated stations, improved campus amenities and infrastructure.

Assisted in Master Planning and goals to create an image on Campus.  Provided Analytical Studies of campus and usage of site.
Civic

Kansas City Missouri Linwood Community Center, Kansas City, MO
Project Designer involved with providing updated accessible to the history building.  Historic Preservation and asbestos abatement was a major issue that was solved.

Kemper Arena Material Handling Facility, Kansas City, MO
Project Designer and Architect of Record to provide new site lighting, updated railings and visual barrier from the back of house facility.

Municipal Auditorium Concourse and Little Theater, Kansas City,MO
Project Designer involved with remodeling the Municipal Auditorium Concourse and Little Theater below the roadway that connects Barney Allis Plaza and Municipal Auditorium.  Awarded AIA “Arts and Craftsmanship Award”

General Architecture
10th and Oak, Kansas City, MO
Project Designer to coordinate renovation of existing building into mixed use commercial and residential dwellings.  Redesign consisted of accommodations of automobile lifts and turntable, multi-family units, while  preserving the historic facade and adding a two story penthouse with code variance to become a non-high rise structure.

Residence, Stillwell, KS
Project Designer to coordinate addition of living quarters to accommodate existing 12,000 SQFT garage.  Residence program had an attached senior living unit as well as two custom hearths and custom master bedroom and bath.

Project Designer to coordinate addition of existing building.  Redesign existing interior layout for additional metric equipment that was transferred by railroad through new overhead doors.

Staley Farms Golf Country Club, Kansas City, MO
Project Designer for planning new golf course Clubhouse, Amenity Building and Maintenance Facility.  Project consisted of moving specific areas of existing course layout and review board of all new residential buildings surrounding the area.

Creekmoor Golf Club, Raymore, MO
Project Designer responsible for designing all way finding and monument signs along with locating new Golf Course Clubhouse.  Components of this project was to raise the main floor to allow all maintenance and storage below.

Project Designer involved with re-branding and integrating new Golf Course Club House on a undermined site.  Analysis of relocating driving range, traffic studies, and residential areas on the development.
