As a graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Architecture, Antonia was an art teacher at a local private school where she also started an after-school art program. She has experience in the wine industry in tasting rooms, restaurants, retail sales, and merchandising. As a student designer on the CDAC "Red Barn" project in Blacksburg, VA, her conceptual design was chosen by the stakeholders, and as a student researcher for the International Archives of Women in Architecture, she prepared work for two exhibitions entitled "Glass Ceilings: Highlights from the IAWA Center -- 100 Postcards", shown at the Virginia Center for Architecture in Richmond, Virginia March 4 - June 6, 2010 and at the Architectural Institute of Japan in Tokyo June 6 - 17, 2011. She was a member of the American Institute of Architecture Students, and the Virginia Tech Leadership Community. Her design work placed third in a 2006 student competition, and a local wine shop features her artwork in their retail section. She is a member of the Society of Wine Educators, and the National Capitol Region Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association.

Created challenging and creative lesson plans for grades K-8, and included art history, architecture, abstract and contemporary ideas, group projects, guest lecturers, and videos. The class had a website and a community bulletin board to post local art events as well as favorite art examples. Also created an after school program for students interested in exploring art beyond class-time. The program was also open to local homeschoolers. Essentially driven by the students, the program aimed at larger-scale time intensive projects: felting, painting banners, walking photography tours, and videography.
