Sunggi Park is registered architect in New York and principal at SSP, Studio Sunggi Park in New York and Seoul, Korea. Formerly, worked at OMA (Office for Metropolitan Architecture founded by Rem Koolhaas), AJN (Ateliers Jean Nouvel) in Paris, BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) in Copenhagen, Howeler + Yoon Architects in Boston, Preston Scott Cohen in Boston and Samoo Architects & Engineers in Seoul, on a diverse range of projects including high profile residences for corporate owners, tech campus headquarter(Facebook), high-rise office towers(Samsung) and Philharmonic Orchestra in different continents, North America, North and Central Europe and Asia. He is focused on the relationships between architectural design and public space as well as architectural scale regeneration through design. In 2014, Mr. Park graduated from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design where he was nominated as a finalist for James Templeton Kelley Prize for Best Final Design Project and for the Araldo A. Cossutta Annual Prize for Design Excellence in 2012. He was a finalist for the KPF Traveling Fellowship as well in 2013 and has received awards for a number of competitions for designs along a broad range of scales. His interests also include teaching design and he has taught a course in post-production architectural workflow at the GSD.
