DELF/DALF DELF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are official qualifications issued by the French Ministry of Education to certify French language proficiency of foreign students.
These levels of proficiency are being implemented by various organisations issuing certificates in languages not only in India but also all over the world which include the Goethe Institute-Max Mueller Bhavan (German), University of Cambridge (English), Cervantes Institute (Spanish) and Alliance française (French).
Alliance francaise centres in India are among the 900 approved examination centres for DELF/DALF in 154 countries, including France.
The 6 diplomas that make up DELF and DALF are completely independent. It means that the candidates can register for the examination of their choice, according to their level.
