My name is Jan Felix Vlasak and I am a German citizen seeking to develop my career through new learning opportunities in a new location.

Currently, I am employed at a large energy company in Frankfurt, Germany, called Mainova AG. I work as a graphic artist, layout designer and photographic journalist for the 3 magazines that the company produces. For the magazines I am responsible for writing the first story versions and capturing the photos, which can be very diverse depending on the article or feature, leading me to travel to different locations and utilize my creativity. I am also responsible for editing photos, creating graphics and then designing the pages. After graduating from Werner von Siemens School in Frankfurt with advanced information technology certification, I began at Mainova AG. First, I completed 3 years of computer science training and was then offered a position as a media technologist. I was responsible for media support for events - including audio, video and multimedia production support. After advancing in media skill and knowledge, I was offered a position as graphic artist, layout designer and photographic journalist.

During my time with the company I have also, in my own interest, completed an event management course, receiving certification from Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and most recently completed a marketing and communications economist course receiving my diploma from Administration and Business University.

In my last years in the company I have discovered that I have a real passion for photography and video. I have done small photography and video jobs for various clients including dj’s, bar establishments, weddings and families, and have found this to be very rewarding.
