“Bram is an all-round designer interested in the synergy between urban design, landscape and architecture. Within his projects he believes that the essence of a design lies in its context. The base of his designs is a thorough research on the identity of the location, with that information an integrated design solution can be realized where large issues such as climate change and energy transition can be linked to new opportunities for spatial quality.
In 2013 Bram started his professional career at Studio Marco Vermeulen (SMV), an architecture and urbanism studio with a strong focus on research driven design. We are involved in highly relevant and often new or neglected spatial tasks with a demand for innovative solutions. At SMV Bram is responsible for multiple projects, focused on regional identity, urban metabolism, and public spaces. Most projects focus on the relationship between different fields such as energy, water, landscape and cultural heritage.”
