I graduated in May from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Architecture. I was also part of UT"s Living Light Solar Decathlon team and studied abroad in Krakow, Poland in the spring of 2011.
Having worked for Knox Heritage's Architectural Salvage Program, historic preservation and adaptive reuse are a large interest of mine. I like to use salvaged building materials to create new art and pieces of furniture in my spare time as well as draw, paint, read, hike, and camp.

Before transferring to the architecture program at UT, I took many art history, foreign language, and writing courses. I transferred into the program in 2007.
As an architecture student at UT, I was afforded the opportunity to take CAD and an introductory Revit course. I learned valuable hand drafting and model building techniques in my studio courses. I was also able to participate in the design, drafting, and bidding phases of the Living Light team's Solar Decathlon entry. In the spring of 2011, I studied abroad in Krakow, Poland where I took studio, sculpture, drawing, history, urban theory, and was able to travel to many exciting places.
During my last two semesters of school, I participated in a design studio that coordinated with the Nashville Design Center, a studio that traveled to Baltimore to tackle the social issues through a manifesto and design project, and took graphic design courses. I also participated in several student organizations and held many officer positions such as Student President and Student Vice President of CSI, South Quad volunteer, active member and volunteer of AIAS, and Secretary of NOMAS.

The African American Achievers Award was a 4 year scholarship awarded to upcomming black freshmen with high school GPA of 3.5+ and maintaining a GPA of 3.0 in college along with 8 hours of community service per semester for 4 years.
