I am extremely interested in the position at Archinect. I am a recent cum laude graduate of Hofstra University Honors College, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Studies in December 2010.

In my most recent position as Social Media Manager for a large dental practice, I designed a digital ad campaign to increase sales. I purchased radio spots, print ads and digital news ads, i.e. AOL Patch. I learned to work with a new computer software system. This system helped track performance of the campaign, and the redesigned webpage, through daily reports. While I was an undergraduate, I was afforded the opportunity of interning at both SONY Music and EMI Music. While at SONY, I handled the task of updating to new standards the filing systems of two labels that had recently merged. I furthered my knowledge of the trade daily, as I was invited to sit in on important meetings, following performance reports of contracts through assorted data. I learned that a fundamental part of any company is accountability, through tracking and updating Microsoft Excel spreadsheets of reports. At EMI, I was responsible for working with another intern reorganizing and cataloguing a closet of unreleased and released works. This was very much a group effort, and while I enjoy working on my own, I am also a team player.

Throughout my internships and employment, I have performed a substantial amount of research and marketing.  I consistently took each position to a new level, through my strong communication and writing skills. At the law firm I worked for, I took the position from secretarial work into research-oriented work. I formed relationships with the firm’s clients, helping to prepare memos and charts for the attorney overseeing their cases. Because I completed more work than required, I was given complex tasks outside my job description, even assisting in resolving discrepancies with financial documents.
