Edwin A. Horner Graduate Fellowship, Grant
The EDWIN A. HORNER GRADUATE FELLOWSHIP was endowed in 1978 by the late Edwin A. Horner (BSAE 1922), who was the Francis J. Plym Traveling Fellow in 1927-28. The Horner Fellowship is given to a graduate student entering their final year of the M.ARCH program and is based upon general academic excellence and professional promise.
President's Scholar Award RISD, Scholarship
The President and Dean Scholarships program provides selected graduate students with annual scholarships for the duration of their studies at RISD. Highest priority for this award is given to African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans and other candidates who are significantly underrepresented in academic and professional fields, as an incentive to make a commitment to careers as artists, designers or educators. Applicants are nominated by the department to which they are applying, show evidence of high achievement and maintain a GPA of 3.0 while at RISD. A faculty selection committee chooses scholarship recipients.
Graduate Fellowship UIUC, Grant
The GRADUATE COLLEGE FELLOWSHIPS are given to strengthen the institution and its programs by increasing the enrollment of outstanding students from populations that have been historically underrepresented in graduate study. Evaluation criteria includes undergraduate GPA, quality of undergraduate preparation, recommendations, and a personal statement from the nominee.
