My name is Muta Florence Chokani and I recently graduated with a Master of Architecture degree from Florida A&M University, December 2012. Currently, I am seeking an employment opportunity as an Architectural Intern; therefore, I would like to inquire about internship opportunities at 1x1 Design.

I am a highly motivated, dedicated and focused individual with an outstanding character, genuine enthusiasm and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. I am able to communicate design concepts technically through Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-up, 3ds Max, Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office Suite; I possess a strong educational background in the production of construction drawings, ability to build physical models, strong rendering, design and graphic presentation skills. I understand the design process of architecture as well as having knowledge of building codes, construction materials and methods. I am a fast learner with a positive attitude, strong verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, an outstanding work ethic and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

I have a strong interest in learning about building design, construction and project management. I believe hands-on knowledge is the only way to increase my skills and I hope to find a firm that will give me the opportunity to learn and grow.

Becoming a registered architect and a LEED accredited professional is my main goal; therefore, I would like to be on the path to licensure when the opportunity arises.
