Elda Bellone, lives and works in New York.
After her first education at Art School in Teramo (Italy) she moved to University of Architecture in Florence, graduating in 2000. Since 1994 she began collaborating with Massimo Mariani Architects , initially involved in artistic projects.
Later she joined the firm, participating in a large number of projects of architecture and design.
She has always been involved in studying, investigating and developing approaches with an innovative point of view to both function and form. Somewhere close to the concept of open design. She is also follower of the different languages of art, looking for contaminations and interchanges she aims to extend and enrich the meaning of the many possibilities to conceive objects, beyond the conventional definition of design.
Besides the activity of interior designer, she takes part in many important international competitions and exhibitions of art and design. She works almost exclusively for private collections or collectors with unique pieces of art and design.
In 2011 she co-founded SCOOPEDESIGN, a design studio dedicated to furniture and industrial design.
