I'm a NY State Registered Architect with over 18 years of experience. I’ve held various positions in architectural firms in the past. My experience includes a diverse range of projects mainly in New York, but I have also had work experience in Singapore and India. 

I have had the pleasure of working with some great architectural firms in NY like Brennan Beer Gorman Architects and Lee Harris Pomeroy Architects among others. My work experience ranges from core and shell and tenant fit outs to transportation and rehabilitation projects.

Over the years, I have worked on every phase of an architectural project, right from project inception to project delivery. In the various roles, I have particularly been involved in design develop­ment, space planning, construction documentation and extensive detailing.

My main projects include The Gateway Center, Bronx; Hampton Library, Jet Airways Offices, NJ and the Jamaica Control Center, Jamaica, NY.

Facilities Upgrades
150 million annual funding

Main objective of the program was to bring Amtrak’s facilities including offices up to code providing a barrier free design. Projected to exceed $1 billion.

Responsible for site assessments with regards to client’s in-house standards and code compliance, documenting reports, preparing scope and BOD in coordination with the legal team, design development of each facility including furniture and millwork, coordinating design with MEP and other consultants for preparing comprehensive bid sets, editing Master Specifications to tailor fit individual Contracts, Construction Administration. QA / QC analysis. Also internally maintained team hours, budgets and schedules along with preparing proposals for added services.

Rehabilitation of historic Office building

Restoration work for a 1912 landmark Italian Renaissance office building in the Bronx which also serves as the entrance to the 180th street station. Included overall repairs to the building envelope, redeveloping the circulation at the entrance to meet code compliance and provide a barrier free design.

Involved in preparing CD sets, construction administration including shop drawing review and weekly coordination meetings. Conducted walkthroughs to document existing site conditions, produced sketches and details to resolve issues, RFI responses and punch lists. Assisted in proposals for the Marketing department.

Alterations to Hampton Library

Addition of a new glass walled structure along with part restoration to the existing library. The design also reoriented the complex toward it’s backyard garden and outdoor reading areas. The addition almost doubled library space.

Involved in preparing CD sets and Construction Admin support.

A Core and Shell / Retail project. New market on the then existing Bronx Terminal Market. A five building complex with one million square feet of shopping center plus a parking structure for 2500 cars housing “Big Box” retail adjacent to the Yankee stadium in the Bronx. Currently houses giants like BJ's, Target and BEST BUY among others.

Concept and space planning, façade design, materials selection and conversion to working details. Prepared design drawings and DOB and ULURP (land use) package. Developed signage standards.

Target Shell Verification: Coordinated with various consultants and documented a shell verification set as a separate project commissioned by Target for their space only.

Rehabilitation of NY Metro Schools School Construction Authority

An annual program of the Schools Construction Authority of New York to upgrade the City schools. Required maintaining historic identity of pre-war schools along with massive restoration work.

Generate “scope of work” after analyzing each school. Extensive site surveys. Address serious wear and tear and waterproofing issues. Produce custom details mainly for brick, stone and terra-cotta. Prepare construction documents. Visit site and prepare progress reports, review shop drawings, respond to RFI’s and day-to-day construction administration.

A Core and Shell project designed in collaboration with Port Authority’s Engineering Dept and RKT&B. Our responsibility was towards shell design and details only.

Worked out Curtain wall systems and details alongside curtain wall consultants, Gordon H Smith Corporation. Prepared construction documents for the building envelope. Details began with granite and pre-cast and finally with stainless steel and aluminum. Predominantly a “pre-glazed unitized” curtain wall system for the entire building with a “stick system” for the storefront.
