About 

My career of 17 years experience and knowledge in the building industry, both in architecture and construction is wide spread. My experience ranges over every stage of Project Development from inception to completion. It includes large scale retail projects, small tenant fit-up, retail leasing support, educational structures, construction administration of large scale fast-track projects, as well as design build experience.

New Quincy Center —Quincy, Massachusetts - 40 acre redevelopment of downtown Quincy.
Masterplan encompasses 11 Parcels in the heart of the city. The mixed-use proposal to
revitalize the fabric of the existing city includes both streetscape elements and new structures.
Urban renewal incorporates residential towers with street retail opportunities, offices
buildings, assisted living and retail “centers”. Site has a strong historical element including
historical sites and buildings on the national registry.

Managed/coordinated first C.O.C. (Certificate of Consistency) submission under the newly
established Quincy Center District - Urban Revitalization and Development Plan (URDP). The first
block of New Quincy Center redevelopment was the first project to adhere to these newly
established design guidelines. Managed submission and coordinated with local officials and third party
reviewers to ensure compliance with new standards. The first parcel to be submitted under
the new guidelines included a building on the National Register of Historic Places, a 15 story
residential tower with street retail and underground parking structure, a 5 story residential
tower with street retail, Hardscape and landscape elements, pedestrian vias and courtyards.

Managed /developed Design Development documents & C.O.C submission documents for two of
the largest retail parcels. Design for these parcels include 2 -7 tier parking structures, an
office tower with 2- 4 story retail structures including a cinema, health club, restaurants and
grocery store.

Coordinated with clients to incorporate their needs relative to retail leasing while maintaining
adherence to C.O.C. guidelines through preliminary meetings and approvals.

Prepared leasing documents for development opportunities. Prepared numerous schemes for
flexibility in marketing of the space.

Studio 5 Architects, Glen Rock, NJ, US, Associate

Ridge Hill—Yonkers, New York Forest City owned, H3 Designed, Lifestyle Center on an 81.4-acre site containing 1.3 million square feet of retail space & 160,000 square feet of office.

Construction Phase: (2007 - 2012)

Responsible for the Construction Administration (CA) for the entire retail section of the project.

Managed/coordinated CA efforts involving 7 prime contractors and numerous sub-consultants in fast-track construction of 13 retail buildings, 5 pedestrian bridges, 5 parking structures and landscape elements (play structures, kiosks, WET designed fountain).

Responsible for processing large volume of CA information (e.g. RFIs, submittals, and field issues) ensuring they were processed in a timely manner and the multiple primes remained on the fast-track schedule.

Coordinated and reviewed tenant leasing requirements to produce construction document to meet landlord requirements of retail lease agreements.

Coordinated documents and reviewed anchor tenants leasing requirements with owner, tenant, and design teams for full building fit-ups. Attended coordination meetings from beginning to end of tenant turnover to ensure agreements and schedules were met.

Coordinate Construction Administration and Construction Documents (CD) development occurring simultaneously with numerous sub-consultants in areas including landscaping, vertical transportation, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, structural engineering and signage.

Managed in-house staff and workload of architects, designers, and interns at varying stages of construction/CD development at a given time to ensure fast track schedules were maintained.

Weekly on site presence and meeting attendance ensuring that communication remains open between contractors, ownership, Consultants and tenants. Ensure that schedules and design intent are maintained.

Design Development/Construction Documents Phase (2004 - 2012)

Project Architect/Project Manager for over 1.3 million square feet of retail space

Lead architect on multiple buildings, including main anchor parcel - three building cinema/retail complex.

Prepare CDs by interpreting design concept drawings supplied by the design architect.

Coordinate with consultants, clients, tenants and design architect to produce a set of drawings while maintaining design intent.

Incorporated tenant design specifications to develop a core & shell retail space.

Coordination with numerous sub -consultants

Spearheaded pre-design phase of project to maintain existing tenant inhabitance during construction.

Responsibilities included construction phase plan, consultant coordination, CD and CA.

Attended bi-weekly meetings with Yonkers’ building Commissioner to ensure project met all codes and concerns of the City of Yonkers.
