At the 11th Annual HD Awards, which combined a record-breaking of 560 international projects, Nobutaka Ashihara Architects together with VLDG took the 1st Place for Best Public Space on the Boutique category for a Hyatt Hotel in Herald Square, New York.

"Abstract" is the yearly publication of student work from Columbia University. The catalog is produced through the office of the Dean, Mark Wigley. It contains only projects selected by the faculty at the conclusion of each semester.

XI International Architecture Biennale of Santo Domingo - BIASD, Award

Santo Domingo hosts an International Architecture Biennale once a year with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Museum of Modern Art. The details of the Bienniale were announced at a press conference chaired by Lourdes Camilo Neck, Deputy Minister of Culture, Omar Rancier, President of "Nueva Arquitectura" and Bichara Khoury, President of the Architectural Society.

Ephemeral Design Haiti Reconstruction, 1st Place

A group of architects decided to volunteer as designers for Haiti after the earthquake on January 2010. I was selected as supervisor for ephemeral architectural design of houses for the affected victims.
