This is Yang. I am a licensed architect in NYC. Being a great listener and communicator, I can work with people of diverse personal, educational and cultural backgrounds in a professional manner. 

I currently reside in Hudson Heights with my husband, daughter, and cats.

Development HUB, NYC Department of Buildings, New York, NY, US, Assistant Chief Plan Examiner (Affordable housing team)

• Performing supervisory and managerial tasks, supervise plan examiners;
• Monitor the process and direction of the examinations;
• Oversee the preparation and the submission of examination reports;
• Providing techinical support of the NYC Construction Codes, rules, local laws, bulletins and memorandums for team members;
• Reports to the Chief Plan Examiner significant issues during the examination process, and recommends course of action to addresses these concerns.

Project Architect 2017-2019
 As a Project Architect in JWC, I was in charge of the overall process of the projects. My primary job duties included analyzing zoning and building code, developing concept design to construction documents set and get DOB approval. Site visits, coordinate with engineers and contractors and review shopping drawings are also my daily tasks. The project I took part in include multiple families in Elmhurst, Insignia Hotel in Brooklyn, Sunshine Community Planning in Brooklyn.

Architectural Designer 2015-2017
 As a project designer, I took part in different phases of all kinds of projects. My primary job duties include developing concept design, preparing presentation boards for client workshop, coordinating with interior designers and engineers. I also assisted senior architects in responding to DOB comments. The projects I took part in include Hotel Indigo and office, Graphic Exhibition Center in Queens, Inclusive Housing in Brooklyn.

 As a junior designer, I took part in Schematic Design and Design Develop phases of multiple projects. My primary job duties include job site visiting and analyzing, developing plan layout, preparing presentation materials for client workshop.

 As an architect assistant, I took part in Schematic Design and Design Develop phases of the project Raffles City Chongqing Skyscrapers, a complex of eight high-rise towers in China. My main job duties included Revit 3D modeling, developing wall sections in facade design and layout of typical residential unit, preparing presentation boards for client workshop.
