My name is Kaitlyn Lazzaro, I currently attend Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston Ma, and I am graduating with my undergraduate degree, which is concentrated in Architecture, in August. I have prior work experience, through the co-op program at my college. I have worked in a smaller sized architecture firm in New Jersey, which concentrated mostly on libraries, and public work. I also worked at a small electrical engineering firm in Boston, Ma. This firm mainly worked on schools, and I gained useful knowledge and insight to the engineering side of the field. I am proficient in AutoCad, and SketchUp, and am currently enrolled in a Revit class, and hoping to become proficient in that as well. I also know Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite. I am a hard worker, and love being put to a challenge. I always enjoy learning new things, and pick things up quickly.
I am interested in sustainable design, and am looking into becoming LEED certified in the near future. In the future I hope to concentrate on sustainable residential design, and other design work that can either help the less fortune or our planet.
Thompson Engineering Co., Boston, MA, US, Cad Operator/ Intern
As in intern, I helped to produce electrical construction documents. I used both AutoCad, and Revit to produce these drawings. I also went on site visits, to compare our drawings with the built conditions, and made those changes as necessary. I also managed phone calls, and directed them to the necessary places, and people.
Arcari + Iovino Architects, Little Ferry, NJ, US, Architectural Intern
As an intern, I helped the full time staff members with various projects. I helped to produce construction documents, and fix marked up documents. I used Google SketchUp to help produce 3D renderings, and used Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop to help produce presentation documents, and layouts. I also helped with various office work, and organization.
