During my years at Pratt Institute, I truly developed a passion for architecture and interior design. It allowed my imagination to run freely and I felt as if my horizons had broaden. My world had become one of structure, form, color, and patterns. After graduating from Pratt Institute, I started working for Swanke, Hayden, Connell in New York. Working for Swanke was an experience like no other. I learned the technicalities of what the work entailed and I journeyed through the process starting from the design phase up to its completion on the job site. After I had my two children, I decided to open my own business. I focused on high end residential and corporate interiors. I have worked closely with clients as a designer but also as a project manager. I felt independent and eager enough to become a contractor so in 2010, I took a course that would allow me to do so. I am now a licensed contractor. After all of these years, I've learned that it is only with a vision, dedication, and passion that one can take a simple idea and give it form and life.
