Operate under a fast paced, dynamic environment. Screen projects
to bid. Perform material quantity take-off estimates. Develop appropriate
designs with regard to manufacturability, aesthetics, fit and performance.
Prepare shop drawings as per contract requirements for architect’s
approval and installer use. Take field measurements prior to fabrication.
Provide leadership to multiple project managers, estimators and drafters
from bidding phase, through design development to final completion.
Communicate design vision, technical details and provide suggestions to
a variety of architects, engineers, contractors, developers and owners
informally and at a high level. Manage presentations of projects at all
stages, design reviews, sales meetings and customer/client interaction.
Conduct case studies of existing conditions and present analysis to
audience (internal and external), Make decisions and recommendations
that have a direct and significant impact on own business unit. Manage
team and set team and individual goals. Coach staff, create opportunities
for staff development. Ensure project standards and timelines are met,
Review design and submittal packages, Put orders into production, Guide
contractors on how to install products in a proper and efficient way.
