Since earning my architecture degree at the Rhode Island School of Design in 1998 I have worked at two firms of international repute, Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, and AECOM, as well as a number of freelance commissions largely in New York City. In my 13 years of professional experience I have worked on a range of different project types from residential (single family and multi family dwellings), cultural/institutional, retail/commercial (including interiors), educational through to large scaled transit projects like the East Side Access (ESA) and The Second Avenue Subway (SAS) project in which I was involved in the overall station planning and layout. I have had the opportunity to work on various aspects of the design process, from concept design through 100% construction document delivery as the lead architect, managing multi-disciplinary teams and coordinating with a host of consultants to produce on–schedule and within budget delivery of detailed drawings.
Most recently at GF55 Partners, I have been involved in residential, working primarily on large scale affordable housing in New York. Our team has just submitted 100% construction documents set for a 11 story multi-use building now in construction and working towards completing another set for a 13 story residential tower, as part of phase 2 of the same project.
My education and work experience have taught me the pressures of working with and meeting strict deadlines in the fast paced world of design. I have a detail-oriented, self-motivated approach to design, and always aspire to apply critical thinking and creative problem solving to process information and produce dynamic and elegant solutions to spatial and formal concerns.
