I am currently a Master of Architecture student in my last semester at North Carolina State University. I graduated in May of 2010 with my Bachelors of Environmental Design degree in architecture from NC State and I immediately went back to school to work on my Masters of Architecture degree. Restoration Hardware, Raleigh, NC, US, Designer + Sales Associate
Responsibilities included private design consultations and in home visits for interior and exterior residential design projects. Throughout the course of the projects, design drawings and as built floor plans were drawn and presented to major clients. Daily duties included supporting the sales staff in the retail location at Crabtree Valley Mall, maintaining the visual standards, providing design knowledge and suggestions to assist customers with their purchases.
RURAL INITIATIVE PROJECT, Raleigh, NC, US, Intern Architect
Head intern in charge of three other design Interns on a renovation project for a historical Rosenwald School located in Johnston County NC. The project was intended to provide a facility for an educational scholarship program TESS (Taking Educational Skills Seriously) that caters to underprivileged children in the community. Consulted several times with TESS organization leaders to understand the objectives, requirements and goals for the project. Responsibilities included producing as built drawings, documenting the existing building conditions and organizing a list of building improvements that needed to be made. Proposed reprogramming plans and possible renovation plans for the building and its site which adhered to ADA standards.
LUIHN FOOD SYSTEMS, Raleigh, NC, US, Intern Architect
Responsible for researching town and city codes in order to update fast food stores (Taco Bell and KFC) in accordance to the specific town or city ordinances and design guidelines in their jurisdiction.
Drafted construction documents in AutoCAD to communicate renovation alterations from the original state of the building. Helped design building changes in order to accommodate the stipulations of the codes and the needs of the building. Taking into account economic material and square footage restraints.

Awarded to one student continuing into the Bachelors or Masters of Architecture program at NC state by the Bachelors of Architecture Admissions board at NC State.
