I am a long time enthusiast of Vectorworks and started using it when it was still called MiniCad3. I've written over 35 of my own plugins and have become an extremely fast and efficient drafter. Having been in the building industry sense 1982, I know exactly what contractors and architects need in a set of drawings and I use this knowledge in all of my projects. My passion for excellence in design and function shows in every sheet of drawings I produce. I started out hand drafting with ink on mylar, but now use the incredibly powerful tools in Vectorworks, 2D and 3D tools to work out a design in great detail. This gives my clients a much better understanding, being able to see what their new home might look like without having to wade thru technical drawings they may never understand. I've lately been incorporating into my designs grid tied PV systems to help offset the every increasing cost of energy. I even have one client who enjoys complete autonomy with an off the grid system providing 100% of her electrical needs. I feel this is our responsibility as designers to help bring planet saving technology to our clients. I am currently seeking full time employment on the west coast and would be happy to join a firm of critical thinking, green conscience, creative people, who love Vectorworks too.
