About

I am an architectural professional with over 15 years of experience. I received my Bachelor of Architecture degree from Woodbury University in 1997. After a brief internship with a well known international firm in Los Angeles, I soon moved north to Ventura, where I worked in the industry with various architectural firms in the Santa Barbara area. I quickly established myself as a senior designer and project manager for projects large and small - in residential, estate planning, multifamily and commercial mixed-use developments, assisted living facilities, after-school enrichment campus, restaurants, and various tenant improvements.

In the past 15 years I have gained extensive knowledge in the practice of architecture. I have honed my skills in problem solving, conflict resolution, conducted studies of site constraints, zoning and accessibility reviews, and produced project feasibility reports.  I have reviewed and coordinated architectural documents for error and omissions, collaborated with professional consultants in various specialities and disciplines such as civil, structural, MEP engineers, historians, and landscape architects. I paid special attention to detailing, which may be of consequence to the integrity of design and building waterproofing. I am experienced with administering processes through various levels of governmental agencies, planning commissions and design review boards. I am able to manage projects from conceptual design development through construction, and am familiar with contract negotiations and consultant coordination. I have supervisory experience in a small office environment, and had the privilege to lead a project team.

In addition to my work and family obligations, I had served as a member of the Design Review Committee for the City of Ventura. I volunteered my time for non-profit and youth group organizations such as Girls Inc., American Youth Soccer, Boy Scouts of America. I am an active member of local schools PTA, and a mentor for a youth Lego Robotic program.
