About

Recent experiences in freelance and education place me in a great position to coordinate such projects in space planning and design management. My work sample pages show the range of projects I (with partners) have worked on consisting of renovation, highly technical and sustainable, and large civic projects. Particularly my Tower Library project should be intriguing to you because it redefines spatial implications and furniture in libraries as making a suitable environment for social endeavors. Also my thesis for Fair Park Cotton Bowl Plaza should gain your interest with my highly involved planning techniques and architectural implications.

My short-term goal of becoming a practicing licensed architect has been fueled with and undergraduate degree from Texas Tech, assisted studio teaching, assisted researching, renovating a single family home and food warehouse, aiding in a design-build project for an elementary school in Lubbock, Tx. I was nominated to study in China through the International Scholar Laureate program. There I toured, studied, and documented the architecture and engineering marvels spread throughout China and even Tibet. I have also studied architecture and urbanism for an entire summer in Montreal, QC at McGill University with Brian Rex. I have developed an inspiring palette for practicing architecture and by travel and research it continues to expand.

By immediately continuing my education at Syracuse University GSOA, I have not officially worked in an office. Instead, I have taken the opportunities of studying in studio NYC lead by Joshua Prince-Ramus, finding new ways of applying GIS to architecture with Mark Linder, discovering new provocative representation techniques with After Effects (video), mapping, and 3D modeling. With these newly acquired skills I feel I can be a key player in the progression of the practice of architecture. I am also proficient in Rhino 4.0 and Sketch-Up, AutoCAD, Adobe CS5 Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

As a freelance designer, I am undertaking three projects under different clients. My projects consist of a collection of four single family homes and a lake house accompanied by a recreation center. Two of the projects I am actually planning out the developments. One project is a 9-acre plot requiring single family home and outdoor facilities for entertaining. The other is about two acres surrounding a lake requesting a 2 BR/1 BA lake house and recreation center for big gatherings and includes a kitchen, bathrooms, seating, and open space for activities.
