Housing is a specialized major in residential design. My studio classes consist of both hand drafting and computer drafting. Some of my superior designs include constructions of floor plans, construction plans, mechanical plans, sample specifications, sketching, elevations, renderings and material sample boards. In addition to designing, my major focuses on the residential environment, lighting design, the selection and marketing of residential spaces and products, appliances and home furnishings, and residential construction. Graduates of this major are well prepared to become certified kitchen and bath designers.
