The North Coast Design Competition strives to promote a mutualistic thriving of both human and natural systems within the Great Lakes Basin. By way of topical ideas competitions and subsequent publications, the NCDC places hope and optimism in the transformative power of design and design thinking in shaping the future of the region. Topics chosen are considered relevant and timely to the Great Lakes Basin and are meant to generate a series of robust and inspired design solutions that will draw attention to important issues while projecting future possibilities that are genuine to the North Coast.
[Imagine Downtown] Lafayette, Open Competition, 1st Place
Open Ideas Competition to redevelop sustainable and mixed-use neighborhoods in six downtown sites in Lafayette, LA; the competition was sponsored by Creative Action, in partnership with Urban Land Institute (ULI) Louisiana, the University of Louisiana Lafayette School of Architecture and Design, and AOC Community Media.
Dean's List, Award
I achieved the Dean's List (with a GPA exceeding 3.5) every semester.
Dwight T. Black Scholarship, Scholarship
The Dwight T. Black Scholarship is awarded to two fourth-year students with excellent studio work. The student is nominated by a faculty member and judged by a panel of professionals.
Droste Scholarship, Scholarship
The Droste Scholarship is awarded to IIT students participating in the study abroad Paris program during the fourth year of study. The scholarship is awarded based on review of student transcript and portfolio.
National Merit Scholarship, PPG, Scholarship
PPG Industries gives several scholarships annually through the National Merit program. I was awarded a scholarship based on my high school transcript and was interviewed as a finalist.
