About

I have recently graduated from Northumbria University with a BArch (HONS) in Architectural Design with Management. As part of my year out in practice I am currently looking for work experience.

I am passionate about architecture and I love taking on new challenges and learning new skills. I thrive within a group and I like to share my ideas and thoughts to help develop a project. I am also a very capable to work independently and can complete tasks with little to no assistance. Through my degree I have developed good communication skills and I am adept at presenting schemes to both large and small groups.

During my studies I have developed an understanding of the importance of combining the various aspects of architectural design to create a well-rounded building. At the early stages of each project I integrate technology and environment into the initial concept ideas and carry these through to the end product. I also recognised the importance of the client in the design of a building. One of my favourite projects was designing an urban dwelling for a specific artist. The process of working for a client and combining my own ideas with their requirements was a practice I found very interesting. As part of my degree I have gained and developed skills in various computer programs. As well as
drawing and making models by hand, I am now capable of drawing using Auto CAD and making computer models on Google Sketch UP, 3DS Max and Revit
