I have a Professional Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Auburn University. There I was privileged to study under Sambo Mockbee, for a year, while designing and building the Butterfly House. I worked on various architectural and interiors projects, both design and design/build while in high school and college.
I have functioned as project architect on multiple project types for the past 6 years including residential, hospitality, mixed use, commercial, higher education and health care. I was recently the sustainability coordinator for a large government lab project in the Perkins + Will Science and Technology studio.
On both architecture and interiors projects I am capable of leading interdisciplinary design charettes, producing design and construction drawings, managing production teams, coordinating engineers and consultants and performing construction administration. I have detailed interior spaces, selected furnishings, lighting, and fabrics. Additionally I designed a custom interior water wall, the roof top pool deck and gardens and a custom stone fireplace for Avenue Uptown in Charlotte, North Carolina.
I have over 6 years experience with Architectural/Engineering coordination in traditional and design/build projects. I am able to communicate and coordinate with local and international A/E design team members.
I have over thirteen years experience operating CAD R14 through Autodesk ADT 2010 plus two years experience in extensive use of Revit 2010 and 2011. I was part of the CAD management team at a mid size architectural design firm for three years.
Most recently I was one of three Green Team Leaders for Perkins+ Will. As such I was an office-wide resource for LEED, Living Building Challenge, Regenerative Design and a wide range of general sustainability issues. I wrote the Operations Manual for Perkins + Will's new office in Atlanta, interviewed and hired the service providers for the building thus ensuring LEED Operations + Maintenance Certification in 2012.
I am in the process of taking the AREs and gaining my architectural registration.
