I have a unique mix of skills and experience that make me a very strong candidate. While I am relatively new to the interior design field, I have years of management experience in my prior career as a Marriage and Family therapist. I started my own successful private practice business, and was a Clinical Director for an outpatient addiction treatment program. My people skills are really exceptional; I am able to connect with all kinds of people, put them at ease, and have fruitful conversations and long-term relationships. I am used to handling curve balls, quirks, and difficulties with grace and humor, and am a patient and thoughtful teacher of all kinds of skills.
I worked at Mancini Duffy most recently on large corporate projects, and was involved in multiple projects, from design concepts and schematics, programming, specifying furniture and finishes, drafting construction documents, and creating presentation books and boards to pitch meetings with clients. I graduated from Pratt Institute last May with a Masters in Interior Design. While in school I interned for a year at MR Architecture + Decor, a high-end residential design firm where I gained a real understanding of luxury, big aesthetic statements, and an eclectic design sensibility. I have a prior career as a licensed Marriage and Family therapist, specializing in arts therapy, which gave me great people skills. I also have experience in visual merchandising and museums, as an art installer.
