In the course of an eventful 3 1/2 years of professional experience, I have worked on a variety of commercial and residential projects including new construction, renovation and historical renovation. Throughout these projects, I have researched building codes, environmental codes and building products; coordinated with electrical, mechanical and structural engineers; and developed construction drawings and specifications. I also produced field reports on construction progress and reviewed product submittals. Moreover, I assisted the interior designer in producing details and specifications for construction documents and helped assemble presentation boards.
Towards the end of these 3 1/2 years, I began acting as job captain for some projects. In addition, I obtained my accreditation as a LEED AP and was the LEED AP for a college campus project. At this time, I am close to completing my internship - I have 30 credit hours left to complete - and intend to test for my license as soon as possible.
