Pamela is currently the President of the NY Metro Chapter of The American Society of Interior Designers.  She is an NCIDQ certificate holder and is a Certified Interior Designer in the State of New York.  Pamela serves on the following other Interior Design related Boards as well. ELF The Education Legacy Fund,  which provides scholarships to Interior Design students and IDLNY Interior Designers for Legislation New York.  She is passionate about Interior Design and works endlessly on behalf of the profession.

Owner of Contract and Residential Interior Design company, Atelier Durante is a full service interior design firm. projects include but not limited to various high end restaurants, corporate offices, Spa and Beauty salon, a Teen Center and High End Residential properties. Projects were started from inception to completion. Scope of work included Budgeting, all space planning, interior design, Selection of all Furniture, Fabric and Finishes, specifications, ordering and overseeing the final installation. Additionally, consult on all aspects of project including graphics package and final stylization to insure cohesion of design and overall concept. Written up and published in various Design magazines and newspapers. One Restaurant property received an excellent rating for design in Zagats.

December 1987 - December 1988 Royalton Hotel
January 1989- May 1991 Century Paramount Hotel

Philippe Stark designed the Century Paramount and Royalton Hotels. Responsibilities as Project Manager of FF & E included taking the design from inception to completion of respective propertiesWhile working with outside purchasing company to devise FF & E budget, Wrote all specifications and researched the manufacture of all furniture, fabrics, and finishes for both properties. Reviewed and awarded contracts on millwork, drapery, carpet and carpet installation, all soft goods, lighting, furniture, fabrics, and finishes. Was Responsible for the Approval of all invoicing for payment of contracts. Additionally, Oversaw the manufacture of all custom furniture, fabrics and millwork including European vendors from Spain, Italy, and France. Coordinated overseas shipment to arrive in one container from Europe which included site visits to factories to insure quality of workmanship and determine if lead times and delivery dates could be achieved. Traveled to Philippe Stark’s office in Paris whenever necessary to obtain information for expedition of design. Assisted Ian Schrager with contracts for all outside consultants.

Loews Regency Hotel, New York, NY, US, Project Coordinator

Frank Nicholson, Architect of Boston, Massachusetts, was the Designer for the renovation of The Regency Hotel. Renovation took place while hotel remained in operation. Responsibilities included coordination between designer and in house purchasing department in conjunction with hotel operations. Approved FF & E invoices for above-mentioned budget. Supervised the removal of existing furniture and installation of new furniture overseeing twelve housemen. Issued paint and wall covering schedules to construction site. Scheduled and supervised drapery contract, soft goods, carpet and furniture installation, and coordination of fabrics to respective vendors. Designed Executive Offices and Employees Cafeteria.

Stanhope Hotel, New York, NY, US, Interior Design Consultant

Renovation included one hundred and eighty guest rooms, lobby, restaurant and outdoor café. Worked with in house design department. Responsibilities included the selection of furniture, fabrics and finishes for hotel renovation. Organized drawing to determine quantities wrote specifications and issued purchase orders. Hotel utilized six different color schemes. Oversaw drapery contract and issued paint and wall covering schedules to site.

Nova Park Gotham Hotel, New York, NY US, Assistant Designer

Renovation of entire building. Worked as Assistant Designer for in house design department for European firm. Assisted in selection of furniture, fabrics and finishes for hotel. Coordinated scheduling, controlled purchase orders, and expedited model rooms.
